Our advantages
What you gain when you work with Thep Legal
Family law practices differ more than people realise. Here's what makes our way of working genuinely different — and why it tends to matter in cases like yours.

Six things that set us apart
Focused expertise
We work only in family law. This isn't a secondary practice area for us — it's the entire focus of our work, and our knowledge of it shows in how we handle even straightforward matters.
Consistent representation
Your matter is handled by the same small team from beginning to end. You won't be handed to a junior after the first meeting, and you won't need to repeat your story.
Clear, written updates
After every significant step, you receive a written summary. Not a phone call you might misremember — a document you can read, keep, and return to.
Transparent, fixed pricing
Our three service levels have published prices. If your matter's scope may affect the total, we discuss that openly before any work begins — there are no surprises on the invoice.
A first meeting with no obligation
Our Family Conversation Session is designed so you can hear what we have to offer and decide whether to proceed — with no pressure in either direction.
Bangkok Family Court knowledge
We have direct experience with the Bangkok Family Court's procedures, timing, and particular requirements — knowledge that comes from actual case history, not theory.
Expertise
Years of family law — and nothing else
General legal practices often handle family matters alongside corporate work, property, and litigation. The result is frequently adequate but rarely attentive. A family case that a general firm treats as routine may be the most significant legal experience of your life.
Our team has spent their careers in this one area of law. That concentration produces a depth of knowledge — about case strategy, about how courts respond to particular arguments, about what tends to settle and what doesn't — that generalist experience simply doesn't build.
Lawyers Council of Thailand — licensed practitioners in good standing
Family law only — not a side practice alongside corporate or commercial work
Current knowledge of Bangkok Family Court procedures and timelines
Continuing professional development maintained year-on-year
Same lawyer for the full duration of your matter — no handoffs
Written summary after every session or key stage
Available by video call for clients outside central Bangkok
Clear escalation path if your situation changes scope
Client service
Calm and thorough at every stage
Legal matters can drag on. That's often unavoidable. What isn't unavoidable is losing track of where things stand or not knowing who to call. We eliminate that uncertainty by keeping a small caseload, maintaining tight communication, and never letting a client feel forgotten.
We're reachable during office hours without navigating a switchboard, and we respond to written enquiries within one working day as a practice standard.
Pricing
Three clear price points — no hidden additions
Legal fees in Thailand can accumulate in ways that are hard to anticipate. We address this with published, fixed-scope pricing across our three services. The Family Conversation Session is ฿4,300. Document and Agreement Support is ฿9,300. Full Family Matter Handling is ฿16,400.
If your situation is likely to move between tiers, we say so clearly at the outset. Nothing appears on an invoice that wasn't discussed and agreed before the work was done.

What makes us different
Things you won't find everywhere
The written summary after every session
Most legal consultations end with a conversation. Ours end with a document — a plain-English summary of what was discussed, what we've been asked to do, and what happens next. It's a small thing that makes a significant difference to how informed clients feel throughout their matter.
The pace is yours to set
Family matters carry emotional weight that doesn't follow a fixed timeline. We build explicit space for clients to slow down, take stock, or step back from a decision. We don't interpret that as indecision — we understand it as the process working as it should.
A caseload kept deliberately small
Some practices take on as much work as they can manage. We don't. We keep our caseload at a level where every client receives the attention their matter warrants, every deadline is met comfortably, and no one feels rushed through the process.
Closing report on completion
When your matter is resolved, we provide a closing report: what was agreed or decided, what documents are in place, what the ongoing situation looks like, and what to do if circumstances change. It's a record you can return to.
