• "Agreement" means these Terms and Conditions together with any engagement letter, scope of services document, or fee schedule issued by Thep Legal.
• "We", "Us", "Our", "Thep Legal" refers to Thep Legal, with registered offices at 84 Charoen Krung Road, Bang Rak, Bangkok 10500, Thailand.
• "You", "Client", "User" means the individual or entity that engages or accesses Thep Legal's services or website.
• "Services" means the legal and advisory services offered by Thep Legal as described on this website and in any engagement documentation.
• "Content" means all text, documents, materials, and information made available through our website or provided in the course of service delivery.
• "Website" means the web pages and materials accessible at theplegalx.biz and any associated subdomains.

By accessing our website or engaging our services — whether by submitting an enquiry form, attending a consultation, or signing an engagement letter — you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

You must be at least 18 years of age and have full legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. If you are acting on behalf of another person (for example, a vulnerable adult), you confirm that you have the authority to do so and that these Terms bind that person.

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you should not use our website or engage our services. We welcome you to contact us first if you have any questions.

Thep Legal provides family law advisory and representation services in Thailand. Our three primary service offerings are:

• Family Conversation Session (฿4,300): A private initial meeting to review your situation and outline your options, followed by a written summary.
• Family Document and Agreement Support (฿9,300): Assistance preparing family agreements and managing related correspondence on your behalf.
• Full Family Matter Handling (฿16,400): Complete representation for contested family matters, including file management and a closing report.

The precise scope, deliverables, and timeline for each engagement will be set out in a written scope of services document provided before work commences. Services are available to clients located in Thailand. We may, at our discretion, accept enquiries from abroad where the matter falls under Thai jurisdiction.

When using our website or engaging our services, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, complete, and truthful information at all times.
• Promptly inform us of any change in circumstances that may affect your matter.
• Respond to reasonable requests for information, documents, or instructions within the timeframes we agree.
• Use our website and services only for lawful purposes.
• Refrain from attempting to access, copy, or distribute our materials without authorisation.
• Treat our staff and partners with consideration and respect.

We reserve the right to decline or discontinue services where we have reasonable cause to believe that information provided is materially inaccurate or that your instructions would require us to act contrary to applicable law or professional rules.

All content on this website — including text, layout, graphics, and document templates — is the intellectual property of Thep Legal or its licensors and is protected under Thai and international copyright law.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use this website for personal, non-commercial purposes in connection with your engagement with us. This licence does not permit you to reproduce, redistribute, or commercially exploit any website content without our prior written consent.

Documents and advice we prepare specifically for your matter remain subject to copyright. You may use them for the purpose for which they were created but may not republish or resell them without written permission.

All fees are quoted and payable in Thai Baht (฿). We will confirm the applicable fee and payment schedule in your engagement letter before work begins.

Payment is typically due in advance for consultation sessions and in agreed instalments for ongoing matters. We accept payment by bank transfer and other methods confirmed in your engagement letter.

Should you wish to cancel a scheduled session, please inform us with reasonable notice. Cancellations made fewer than 24 hours before a scheduled appointment may be subject to a cancellation fee at our discretion. We will always aim to find a mutually suitable arrangement where circumstances are beyond your control.

Fees displayed on this website are indicative only. Matters of unusual complexity or scope may require adjusted pricing, which we will discuss openly with you before proceeding.

Scope and Changes: The scope of each engagement is agreed in advance. If your needs or circumstances change during the matter, we will discuss any adjustments to scope and fees with you openly and obtain your agreement before proceeding.

Timelines: Indicative timelines are provided in good faith based on typical matters of each type. They may be affected by court scheduling, third-party responsiveness, document availability, and other factors outside our control. We will keep you informed of any changes and their likely impact.

Third-Party Costs: Court filing fees, translation costs, notarial charges, and similar third-party expenses are not included in our service fees and will be invoiced separately or with your prior approval.

Written Summaries and Reports: Where a written summary or closing report is included in your service, this will be provided in English. Translation can be arranged at an additional cost if required.

We treat every client matter with strict confidence. Information you share with us in the course of your engagement will not be disclosed to third parties except where: (a) you give your consent; (b) disclosure is required by Thai law, court order, or professional regulatory obligation; or (c) disclosure is necessary to prevent a serious and imminent risk of harm.

Our confidentiality obligation continues after our engagement concludes. We will retain your file in secure storage in accordance with applicable retention rules and our Privacy Policy.

We do not make any representations about outcomes. Family law matters depend on many factors including judicial discretion, the conduct of other parties, and evidence available. To the extent permitted by Thai law, our total liability to you in respect of any single matter shall not exceed the total fees paid by you for the relevant service.

We shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental loss, including loss of income or opportunity, arising from our services or from any delay or failure not caused by our own negligence.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other matter that cannot be excluded under Thai law.

Force Majeure: We shall not be in breach of these Terms if performance is prevented or delayed by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, civil unrest, government actions, or failure of third-party services.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Thep Legal and its lawyers, staff, and agents against any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal costs) arising from: (a) your breach of these Terms; (b) information you provided to us that was inaccurate or misleading; or (c) your use of our website in violation of any applicable law.

By You: You may bring an engagement to a close at any time by giving us written notice. Fees for work completed up to the date of termination will remain payable.

By Us: We may decline to continue an engagement where: (a) a conflict of interest arises; (b) professional obligations require withdrawal; (c) there is a material and persistent failure to provide instructions or payment; or (d) the instructions we receive require us to act unethically or unlawfully. We will provide reasonable notice and a summary of work completed wherever possible.

Effect of Termination: Sections relating to confidentiality, intellectual property, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution survive termination of any engagement.

Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. Any dispute arising under or in connection with them shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Thai courts.

Professional Complaints: If you are dissatisfied with our handling of a matter, you may also contact the Lawyers Council of Thailand, which oversees professional standards for licensed legal practitioners.

Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with any engagement letter and scope of services document, represent the full agreement between you and Thep Legal regarding your matter.

Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.

Waiver: Our failure to enforce any provision on a particular occasion does not constitute a waiver of our rights to enforce it on another occasion.

Assignment: You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may, in the course of a firm reorganisation, transfer obligations to a successor entity that maintains equivalent standards of service and confidentiality.

Notices: Formal notices under these Terms should be sent by email to [email protected] or by post to our office address. Email notices are effective upon confirmation of receipt.

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, applicable law, or professional obligations. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.

For existing clients with active matters, material changes will be communicated directly before they take effect. For website visitors, continued use of the website after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
