How Thep Legal came to be
Thep Legal was founded in Bangkok's Bang Rak district with a straightforward conviction: that people facing difficult family situations deserve a lawyer who will slow down and listen before giving any advice. The practice grew from a small two-person office on Charoen Krung Road into the team it is today, and that original instinct has never changed.
The founders had each spent years in larger firms where family matters were processed rather than handled — where clients left consultations with a folder of documents but no real sense that anyone had understood their situation. They wanted to offer something different: a quieter, more considered way of working, grounded in Thai family law but responsive to the real complexity of people's lives.
Over the years, we have assisted families through separation, custody arrangements, property questions, and the many smaller but deeply significant decisions that come with navigating a family matter through the Thai legal system. Each case has taught us something, and we carry that forward.

Theerapat has worked in family law for over fourteen years, with particular focus on contested matters and cross-border custody questions under Thai law. He founded the practice on the belief that clients deserve steady, honest counsel.
Naphatson Woraphan
Senior Associate
Naphatson leads most of our document and agreement work. She has a careful eye for drafting and a measured way of managing correspondence that keeps difficult conversations on track.

Suphanat is usually the first person you speak with. He coordinates initial consultations, answers early questions with patience, and makes sure you feel well prepared before meeting with our lawyers.

How we safeguard the quality of our work
Thai Bar Association
All practising lawyers at Thep Legal hold full membership of the Lawyers Council of Thailand. Our licences are current and in good standing.
Client confidentiality protocol
We maintain a written confidentiality protocol reviewed annually. All team members sign strict non-disclosure obligations covering client information and case details.
Secure document handling
Physical files are held in locked storage. Digital files are encrypted and access is restricted by role. We do not retain client documents beyond the agreed retention period.
Peer review on key matters
Significant filings and correspondence are reviewed by a second lawyer before being sent. This internal check catches errors and ensures the advice given is well considered.
Client feedback process
At the close of each matter, we invite structured feedback. The responses inform how we train and how we improve — they're not collected for marketing purposes.

Family law in Thailand continues to develop. Our team attends professional development sessions and monitors legislative changes, so our advice reflects current law.

The rules are detailed, the timelines can be long, and the emotional weight is considerable. Thep Legal has offices on Charoen Krung Road, well placed for clients in Bang Rak, Silom, Bangrak, and the wider central Bangkok area. We also meet clients by secure video call for those who cannot travel easily or who prefer the privacy of their own space.
We work primarily with individuals and families — not corporations. Our caseload is deliberately kept to a size where every client receives consistent, attentive care from the same small team throughout their matter. We don't reassign files, and we don't disappear between updates.
